Great day- cooler, but sunny. Peach and quince blossoms opening. Currants, Gooseberries, Aronia fruiting,

Transplanted all the winter-grown lettuce into the cold frame.

No bee inspection- too cool - 12C and windy and maybe some rain.

Monday maybe.

Spotted a Question Mark Butterfly.

Plants came from Kamiyar: seedless grapes- somerset and traulhaugen. Also Fig root - plant it in a pot, half buried in soil against a south facing wall. It needs to put in a cold cellar where temperatures don’t drop below -5C till May 15.

In winter it should be kept in a cellar or an insulated garage.

I sent him Quince roots and flowering twigs.
