5/4 Getting warmer

Katelyn and I went on a road trip to get bee equipment at Earth & Honeybee in Ilderton and a Carniolan queen in St Thomas at KF Bees.

Queen is installed with a pollen patty. The bees were all clustered on a honey frame. Let's hope they accept her.

Moved the frames we extracted over to the first bee site, lots of mouse poop underneath.

Large and small ants in the hive under the cover.

Rainy and foggy out but it should go to 20C this afternoon.

Mike dug holes and I planted all the new trees, bushes and plants from Northland Nurseries. Good weather for this: cool, overcast, but not too cold.
