I've been busy with the plummeting temperatures, the rain and the seriously high winds.
Picked up plants from ReForest London . And spent time planting them.
Bigleaf Aster (Eurybia macrophylla), Blue-stemmed Goldenrod (Solidago caesia), Pennsylvania Sedge (Carex pensylvanica) all went into the Norway or lilac beds out front.
Foxglove Beardtongue (Penstemon digitalis), Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium), Indian Grass (Sorghastrum nutans), Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepsis), Silky Dogwood (Cornus Amomum) and Bush Honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera) will likely go along the North bed.
Still to come in July: Red Osier Dogwood (Cornus sericea), Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius), St. John's Wort (Hypericum kalmianum)
Fruit on the Peach and Quince developing. Nothing on the CHerry I can see yet.
First Clematis opening on the Garden Gal.
Chives, Coralbells, Catmint starting to bloom.
Got a lot of clearing out on South side of house. And planted Phacelia, Salvia, Ipomea Cardinal Flower, Tithonia
Planted Sweet peas, Nasturtiums and Morning glories in Boxes.
Gave all the vegetable starts to Jackie at Lifespin.
Got my Farmagate stand stolen!
Potatoes are growing in the bags (fingerlings) and some in the old potato bed.
Looks like we have at least 4 asparagus plants sprouting.
